Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services Announces New Appointments
DAYTON, OHIO – Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS) has named Andrew J. Clow tissue processing director and Scot Bruns facilities director.
Clow oversees the daily operation of tissue processing and manages a staff of 115 employees. CTS is one of the five largest tissue banks in the United States and the largest non-profit provider of skin grafts for severe burn patients.
Clow began his career at CBC/CTS as facilities director. Before joining CBC/CTS, Clow was a project engineer at Rittal Corporation in Springfield. He has over 17 years experience in facilities, engineering and project management. Clow earned an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Clark State Community College in Springfield, Ohio followed by a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mathematics from Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio.
Bruns directs the maintenance/repair of buildings, grounds, equipment and plant facilities. In addition, he handles contracts with outside maintenance contractors.
Bruns has over fifteen years experience in the industry. He has been employed by CBC/CTS for three years and began his career as the facility engineer. Before joining CBC/CTS, he was a facility engineer for Goodrich Corp. in Troy, Ohio. Bruns earned his Bachelors of Science Degree in Manufacturing Technology from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. In addition, he is a member of the International Facility Manager Association (I.F.M.A.).
Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS), an independent, not-for-profit organization, is ISO 9001:2000 Registered. Community Blood Center is the sole provider of blood components to twenty-five hospitals in the Miami (Ohio) and Whitewater (Indiana) Valleys. Community Tissue Services serves the public through recovery, processing and distribution of human tissue donations used for transplantation.
