Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services Names Michelle Peirce-Mobley Chief Human Resources Officer

DAYTON, OHIO – Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS), headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, recently announced the promotion of Michelle Pierce-Mobley to Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). According to Dr. Judith Woll, CEO and Medical Director of CBC/CTS, “the new senior management position was needed to manage our complex multi-state operation. Her expertise in the human resources field will allow her to continue to develop a strong corporate human resources program at CBC/CTS.”

Pierce-Mobley is now responsible for the overall Human Resources programs for CBC/CTS’s national workforce. In addition, she oversees a staff of six to handle recruitment and selection, strategic planning, diversity management, leadership development, employee relations, compensation and benefits, privacy management and corporate telecommunications.

A Dayton native and resident, Pierce-Mobley earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Administration from Park College, Dayton branch. She has over sixteen years of Human Resources Management Experience, five with CBC/CTS. Before joining CBC/CTS, she was the Employment Manager for Grandview and Southview Hospitals.

Pierce-Mobley is a member of several local and professional organizations. Locally, she is a board member of the Dayton Sickle Cell Affected Families, Inc., and a member of WOW Community School Parents Association. She also serves on the HR sub-committee of the Greater Dayton Hospital Association. Nationally, she is a member of the Society for Human Resources Association, American Society of Health Care Human Resources Association, Delta Sigma Theta Public Service Sorority Inc., and America’s Blood Centers, where she serves on the HR sub-committee.

In addition, she has been a featured speaker nationally on a variety of contemporary Human Resources topics. In 2003, CBC/CTS received a Best Practice Designation in the area of Employee Relations from the American Hospital Association.

Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS), an independent, not-for-profit organization, is ISO 9001:2000 Certified. Community Blood Center is the sole provider of blood components to twenty-five hospitals in the Miami (Ohio) and Whitewater (Indiana) Valleys. Community Tissue Services serves the public through procurement, processing and distribution of human tissue donations used for transplantation.
