Robert E. Carpenter Named Director of Processing at Community Tissue Services
DAYTON, OHIO - Community Tissue Services (CTS), a department of the Community Blood Center headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, has named Robert E. Carpenter as Director of Processing at Community Tissue Services. Michael Blair, current Director, will become the Director of Strategic Marketing.
Carpenter will oversee the daily operation of tissue processing. "Rob's extensive knowledge of tissue banking and quality assurance will allow him to excel in his new position," stated Diane Wilson, Chief Operating Officer of Community Tissue Services.
Carpenter has over ten years experience in the industry. Carpenter has been employed by CTS for four years and began his career as a Quality Assurance Specialist. In 2003, he was promoted to Quality Control Supervisor responsible for managing the quality control staff. Prior to joining CTS, Carpenter worked at Indiana Lions Eye and Tissue Bank as Technical Program Manager.
Carpenter earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Science from the University of Cincinnati. He is also a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist (CTBS) and Certified Eye Bank Technician (CEBT). He is a member of the Eye Bank Association of America and the American Association of Tissue Banks, where he currently serves on the education committee.
