Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services Names Ann Lay Director of Process Improvement
DAYTON, OHIO – Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS), headquartered in Dayton, Ohio, recently announced the appointment of Ann Lay as Director of Process Improvement. Prior to this appointment, Lay was the Controller at CBC/CTS. “With her expertise in cost accounting, and her knowledge of all aspects of CBC/CTS operations, I am confident she will do a terrific job,” stated Dr. Judith Woll, CEO and Medical Director of CBC/CTS.
In her new executive position, Lay will identify opportunities for process improvement to ensure efficient operations throughout the organization. In addition, she will act as a change agent to facilitate the successful implementation of suggested changes and monitor continuing performance.
Lay earned her Associate Degree in Business Administration from Sinclair College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting/Finance from Wright State University. She has over twenty years of accounting and finance experience. Before joining CBC/CTS, she was the Accounting Manager at Fraser Paper Inc.
Locally, she serves on the Finance Committee and is a board member of Abilities First. She also serves on the Finance Committee of American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB).
Community Blood Center/Community Tissue Services (CBC/CTS), an independent, not-for-profit organization, is ISO 9001:2000 Certified. Community Blood Center is the sole provider of blood components to twenty-five hospitals in the Miami (Ohio) and Whitewater (Indiana) Valleys. Community Tissue Services serves the public through procurement, processing and distribution of human tissue donations used for transplantation.
